Directions to Valle Crucis:
The Valle Crucis Conference Center is located on Highway 194 in Valle Crucis - midway between Boone and Banner Elk (home of Ski Beech and Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts) - in the northwest corner of North Carolina.
The Conference Center is accessible from the Tri-Cities Regional Airport in Johnson City, Tennessee; Hickory Regional Airport; Asheville Regional Airport; and Charlotte's Douglas International Airport.

For the convenience of our guests who have not been to the Conference Center, we offer the following directions to Valle Crucis. We have made every effort to make sure these directions are accurate, but if you find an error, we apologize and hope that you will bring it to our attention so that we can correct our mistake. We look forward to your visit with us and please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable for you and your group.
From Johnson City, TN Area
Take US-321 South, through Elizabethton (TN), Hampton (TN), and Vilas (NC). At the traffic light just north of Boone, turn right onto NC-105 Bypass. At the next traffic light (where NC-105 Bypass ends), turn right onto NC-105 South. Drive approximately three (3) miles to the traffic light at Broadstone Road (State Road 1112, just across the Watauga River Bridge). Turn right onto Broadstone Road. Drive approximately three (3) miles to the intersection with NC-194 (in front of Valle Crucis Elementary School). Turn left onto NC-194 South. Drive approximately 1.3 miles, past the Valle Crucis Conference Center sign and around a sharp right hand curve, to the parking lot of Holy Cross Church. Pull into Church parking lot and drive down to large three-story building (the Inn). Our office is in the corner of this building.
Approximate driving time: 1 hr 45 mins from Johnson City.
From Raleigh, Greensboro, Chapel Hill, and Winston-Salem areas:
Take I-40 West to Winston-Salem. On the western outskirts of Winston-Salem, exit onto US-421 North towards Wilkesboro. Drive approximately 85 miles, through Yadkinville and Wilkesboro, to the intersection with NC-105 in Boone. Turn left onto NC-105 South. Continue straight approximately six (6) miles to the traffic light at Broadstone Road (State Road 1112, just across the Watauga River Bridge). Turn right onto Broadstone Road. Drive approximately three (3) miles to the intersection with NC-194 (in front of Valle Crucis Elementary School). Turn left onto NC-194 South. Drive approximately 1.3 miles, past the Valle Crucis Conference Center sign and around a sharp right hand curve, to the parking lot of Holy Cross Church. Pull into Church parking lot and drive down to large three-story building (the Inn). Our office is in the corner of this building.

From Asheville, Black Mountain, and Hendersonville areas:
Take I-40 East to US-70 exit (Old Fort exit). Exit onto US-70 East toward Old Fort and Marion. Drive approximately eleven (11) miles to intersection with US-221 in Marion. Turn left onto US-221 North. Drive approximately 35 miles to the intersection with NC-105 in Linville. Turn left onto NC-105 North. Drive approximately twelve (12) miles to the traffic light at Broadstone Road (State Road 1112, just before the Watauga River Bridge). Turn left onto Broadstone Road. Drive approximately three (3) miles to the intersection with NC-194 (in front of Valle Crucis Elementary School). Turn left onto NC-194 South. Drive approximately 1.3 miles, past the Valle Crucis Conference Center sign and around a sharp right hand curve, to the parking lot of Holy Cross Church. Pull into Church parking lot and drive down to large three-story building (the Inn). Our office is in the corner of this building.

Take I-85 South from Charlotte to US-321 exit in Gastonia. Exit onto US-321 North toward Lincolnton and Hickory. Continue on US-321 North for approximately 75 miles, passing through Lincolnton, Hickory, Lenoir, and Blowing Rock. At intersection with NC-105 in Boone, turn left onto NC-105 South. Drive approximately five (5) miles to the traffic light at Broadstone Road (State Road 1112, just across the Watauga River Bridge). Turn right onto Broadstone Road. Drive approximately three (3) miles to the intersection with NC-194 (in front of Valle Crucis Elementary School). Turn left onto NC-194 South. Drive approximately 1.3 miles, past the Valle Crucis Conference Center sign and around a sharp right

Take I-81 South to VA-91 exit (Glade Spring exit). Take VA-91 South to Mountain City, TN. At intersection with US-421, turn left onto US-421 South towards Boone, NC. Drive approximately 25 miles. At the traffic light just before reaching Boone, turn right onto NC-105 Bypass. At the next traffic light (where NC-105 Bypass ends), turn right onto NC-105 South. Drive approximately three (3) miles to the traffic light at Broadstone Road (State Road 1112, just across the Watauga River Bridge). Turn right onto Broadstone Road. Drive approximately three (3) miles to the intersection with NC-194 (in front of Valle Crucis Elementary School). Turn left onto NC-194 South. Drive approximately 1.3 miles, past the Valle Crucis Conference Center sign and around a sharp right hand curve, to the parking lot of Holy Cross Church. Take I-77 North to Charlotte, NC. At interchange with I-85, exit onto I-85 South. Drive approximately 15 miles to US-321 exit in Gastonia. Exit onto US-321 North toward Lincolnton and Hickory. Continue on US-321 North for approximately 75 miles, passing through Lincolnton, Hickory, Lenoir, and Blowing Rock. At intersection with NC-105 in Boone, turn left onto NC-105 South.
